The Feast of Burden

Michael Morbid

Dark and dingy fingernails
Forged of tempered steel
Spark illuminating blue flames
Along corridors of time
A remnant of Gehenna
Hunter of men
Angel of the almighty
Eternally stalking
An elusive victim
Which in turn
Plays a game with God
Leaving a blackened plague
In the wake
Of scorched wings
A ravaging Angel
Once of God
Now enveloped in darkness
Crucifixion spikes of Christ
Driven home by his hands
An architect of human misery
Kisses Devils upon the lips
As Angels frantically feast
Upon the entrails of men
The Last Supper has begun
As rivers of blood
Flow from the heavens
As noxious venom
From the Serpent's fangs
A feast of all Saints
Banquet of Sinners
Celebrate a holy sacrifice
Just another well planned suicide
Disguised and executed
By an other's hands
What the eyes perceive
The mind may yet deceive
As the prey
Shall be slain
And in turn be consumed
If not by the hunter
By his own wanting hands
